Scam Alerts (Gaming and Social Media)

Scammers are using new accounts to message people promising bundles, gems and event items through the advertising of websites, which, when you download and install, will infect the device you are using, which will make you lose control of your account(s) or ask for account details like emails plus passwords. Report the account as soon as you see their messages in-game. The dead giveaway is that they will use brand new accounts using Oath Keeper as avatars, mention of free gems/packs/bundles and/or the terms "Download" or "Install" are mentioned. This sort of in-game mail is against the Terms of Service and should be reported immediately for further action by IGG's support team.

The scammers as of late will do anything including messaging on different guild's diplomacy boards (using special color coding in blue to make it look like a link) and if you are either R4 or R5 of the affected guilds, report the person by tapping on their avatar and then clear the fraudulent messages from your diplomacy boards. NEVER COPY AND PASTE THE LINK IN ANY BROWSER! IGG WILL NEVER GIVE ANYONE FREE BUNDLES WORTH $$$ EXCEPT ON THE NEWS PAGE OR DURING EVENTS ON THE OFFICIAL DISCORD SERVER!!!

If you have gone to these websites and installed their application or given them your details, please reach out to IGG Support immediately to regain control of your account(s). I have heard from Reddit that they will send these sorts of in-game mail to those with 1b or more might with these scams since the 4th of January 2024.

Currently, these scams have been ongoing and cannot be resolved instantly, so the advice is clear: GEMS ARE NEVER FREE EXCEPT FOR WHAT YOU DO IN-GAME OR VIA THE OFFICIAL LORDS MOBILE SOCIAL CHANNELS LIKE FB, INSTAGRAM, DISCORD, ETC! IF IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT SURE IS!!

5th of May update:

A new scam is going about in Lords Mobile with promises of resources or items through the use of actual currency from new accounts. Do not EVER contact them and report them as a scam, as the reason, they delete the in-game mail. Falling into their trap might jeopardise your account(s). The same goes for account buying through the in-game mailing feature as well. I had one this morning from a new account (the sign to look out for is the use of the Oath Keeper avatar) and mention of other channels, including Telegram, Wechat and other forms of communication that aren't from trusted sources like Discord and Line. Similar forms of communication are also used for account buying too so be careful of them and report them accordingly. See the Terms of Service for the reason why asking for money to buy RSS and accounts is illegal and should be avoided at all times.

Be aware of comments or messenger messages that lures people into Buy/Swap/Sell groups for Lords Mobile. These sorts of groups will lead to potential game bans and warnings on your account(s). The general method they use is to post such group links into comments or during streams. I do not endorse buying or selling accounts and urge everyone to please avoid them and block the person sending the comment. Also, I urge the Lords Mobile page admins to deal with these advertisements due to the potential of inflicting mental harm to those who engages with the posts or influence people into breaking the IGG's Terms of Service through an account ban.

On top of this, be aware of anyone who might clone your social media accounts and always keep up to date with the security of your accounts including the use of Two-Factor Authentication.
